Leg Day, But Make It Yoga
March Sunday morning in-person practice at ODD Echo Park
Service Description
On March 15th and 29th, we’re giving some real love to the glutes, calves, quads, and hamstrings. We’ll start from the ground up, waking up the soles of the feet and plantar fascia, then moving into the calves, hamstrings, quads, and glutes with blankets, therapy balls, and straps to help us feel more and force less. The quads are sometimes called the second heart of the body because so much blood moves through these big muscles, so when we work them well we support circulation in a major way. Expect some slow, intentional strength work and some big, satisfying quad stretches. From there we’ll bring it into a few traditional standing poses from the yoga practice so we can integrate what we’ve opened and strengthen in a grounded way. The focus is circulation, stability, and learning how to root through the feet so the rest of the body can organize and rise. Strong legs, steady breath, connected to the earth. You’ll leave feeling warm, rooted, and very alive in your lower body. Bring your mat! You may also rent one from the front desk at One Down Dog.
