The Vagus Nerve & Visceral Organs
April Sunday morning in-person practice at ODD Echo Park
Service Description
April’s Sunday morning classes turn inward as we look toward the intelligence of the gut, the viscera, and the regulating rhythm of the vagus nerve. This month, we’ll explore how movement and breath can support vital organ health, improve digestion, and restore internal balance. Expect slow, intentional sequences that gently stimulate the organs, increase circulation through the abdominal space, and invite a deeper connection to your core. We’ll incorporate breathwork to support the vagus nerve, which innervates many internal organs and helps guide the body into rest, repair, and resilience. We’ll also lightly support the lymphatic system—much of which resides in the gut—through gentle compression, twisting, and diaphragmatic breathing to encourage flow and reduce stagnation. Join us on April 12 and 26 for grounding, nourishing practices that help you reconnect to your body’s natural rhythms. Please bring your own mat; mats are also available to rent at the front desk at ODD.
